The Becoming – Exhibition

The night of the 19th of April was one I will carry in my heart for a long time.

Miss Funky Natty – The Becoming, our exhibition finally happened. In the village where I grew up. In front of the people who knew me long before I knew myself as a creator.

From the moment the first guest walked in, the space came alive. Warm lighting, atmospheric music, textures to touch.. It was not a typical product exhibition. It was an audiovisual journey through my collections, carefully curated alongside creative director Andreas Kadis.

Together, we wanted to create more than a display. We wanted to create a feeling.

And judging by the faces in the room, we did.

The question that started everything. When does a woman become?

“Not when she marries. Not when she gives birth. Not when she succeeds at work. She becomes in the quiet moments. In the stillness with her thoughts. In the blooming no one sees.”

That night, I watched the people pause in our space. Some smiled, some stood still for a while.

This is what “The Becoming” was meant to be. Not a celebration of my work. But a mirror for every woman’s quiet journey.

The village came through

To stand in Athienou, surrounded by faces from my childhood, and share the work of my heart.. there are no words.

School friends. Family. New friends who travelled to be there. Every single person brought warmth, curiosity and an open heart.

You showed up. You touched the fabrics. You asked questions. You stayed.

Thank you.

A special thank you

To Antreas Kadis, for seeing my vision and shaping it into something even more beautiful than I imagined.

And to every woman who walked through the door.

You are becoming. Every single day. And it is enough.

What’s next?

Miss Funky Natty will continue to create. Continue to grow. Continue to honour the quiet, honest, slow, poetic, real and emotional journey of becoming.

If you missed the exhibition, do not worry.

The collections are always here.

Our women stories are here.

With love and gratitude

Natalie
